How End Systems Replaced Every Legacy System in Their Business With One Platform in Under Three Years
Fifty years of specialist engineering, run on Access databases, spreadsheets and eight disconnected tools. Today it runs on EndHub: 22 integrated modules, 80+ users, one source of truth.

The starting point
Before
End Systems had been delivering specialist construction, electrical and test engineering services for nearly fifty years. The business was strong, the reputation was solid, and the team knew their craft inside out.
Like most established businesses of that scale, the internal systems had evolved organically. Estimating was handled through a combination of documents and spreadsheets. Project management ran on Microsoft Project. Finance, HR and operations each had their own tools. And underpinning a lot of the day-to-day were Microsoft Access databases that had served the business well for a long time.
The challenge wasn't that anything was broken. It was that the business had outgrown what those tools could do.
Access was approaching end of life. Key people who had built and maintained those systems over the years were on a pathway to retirement, and the knowledge of how everything worked lived largely with them. The tools that had carried the business this far simply weren't designed for where it was heading next.
Across 80+ staff, the team were spending time moving data between systems that didn't connect, compiling reports manually and duplicating effort across departments. Not because anyone was doing anything wrong, but because the tools weren't keeping up with the pace and complexity of the work.
Matt Corlett, now MD, recognised that the business deserved systems as good as the people using them. There was no crisis. Just a clear-eyed decision that it was time to build something purpose-built for how End Systems actually operated.
The approach
What We Did
We started with the biggest opportunity: estimating.
Within two months, End Systems had a working platform that streamlined the estimating process into one purpose-built system. No more rebuilding quotes from scratch every time. One tool, designed around how their team actually worked.
That first module was the proof of concept. Once the estimating team were up and running, the conversation quickly moved to "how do we bring this to the rest of the company?"
From there we moved department by department. Every month, new features, new modules, new teams brought online. Precontract. Project management. Site operations. Commercial. HR. Finance. Recruitment. SHEQ. Subcontractor management. Each one built around the real workflows of the people using it.
The business never stopped running while the transformation happened around it.
The approach was phased delivery, with no disruption to live operations. Each department got their module, adopted it, fed back, and we refined it before moving to the next.
After two years of active development we transitioned into a Fractional Digital Technology partnership: ongoing strategy, continuous development and support. The platform keeps evolving because the business keeps evolving.
We went from a collection of tools that had served us well for years to having every department on one platform in under three years. The team can't imagine going back to working any other way.

Where it landed
After
Today, End Systems runs on one platform: EndHub. 22 integrated modules covering every part of the business, from the first client enquiry through to final commissioning and beyond. 80+ users across the entire company, from site engineers to the MD, all working from one system.
The difference
What Changed
The visibility we have now on our numbers is night and day. We're pulling reports in seconds that used to take days of compiling across departments. The automations handle the heavy lifting, and we can see exactly where we are commercially at any given moment. It's just better commercials all round.

What this was
The Takeaway
This wasn't a website project. It wasn't a single app. It was a full digital transformation delivered in phases, one department at a time, with zero disruption to live operations. The kind of platform that unifies everything, connects everyone, and keeps getting better every month.
If your business has outgrown the tools that got you here, this is what the next chapter looks like.
